Episode 246: Using Business Intelligence to Grow Your Business and Find Your Dream Clients – Interview with Vasiliki Prestidge

Business Intelligence (BI) refers to technologies, applications, and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information. The purpose of Business Intelligence is to support better business decision making.

I attended an excellent presentation at the online BP Conference this year on this topic, and it is incredible what you can do with this information to grow your business and create a more fulfilling career.

In this episode, I interview the English into Greek translator and interpreter Vasiliki Prestidge again. She has been able to use her business data to grow and tweak her business and is sharing her tips and tricks.

Important things mentioned in this episode:

  • Why we need business reporting
  • What systems to use for business reporting
  • What kind of data we need and how to get them
  • What to do with the results to tweak and grow your business

Useful links mentioned in this episode:

Vasiliki’s presence online:

I love how easy Vasiliki makes it seem to collect and analyze this data and what to do with the information. There is no reason for any of us not to know who our biggest client is, what services are most profitable for us, and what market segment we should focus on.

Listener Shoutout:

This one is from Katrin Kroeger. She says:

“I’ve just finished listening to Episode 219 and heard you talking about mentorship. I just wanted to let you know that I consider you my mentor, and thank you for all that you do! I have gotten so much from listening to your podcasts and doing your courses over the last couple of years and appreciate all the information that you continue to provide to us translators.”
