Online Marketing 101 for Translators
04/12/2021Episode 273: How to Diversify Into SEO Translations – Interview with Maria Scheibengraf
05/04/2021A little planning goes a long way. With a written marketing plan, we can focus on our translation work but still continue with our marketing efforts in a structured way without spending too much time on it. With a marketing plan, it is easy to see what marketing tasks you should do that week or month, and you will have more time and peace of mind to focus on your craft, i.e., your translation work.
I create a marketing plan every year and break it into quarters. One specific tool that I have used is the “Simplest Marketing Plan,” an excellent marketing plan workbook and service by Ilise Benun, the marketing mentor. I invited her to the podcast to talk about this tool and share her marketing wisdom.
Important things mentioned in this episode:
- The three marketing tools we need to attract our dream clients
- The most common marketing mistakes service providers make
- The Simplest Marketing Plan and how to use it
- What we can do in just 30 minutes a day to market our services

By spending as little as 30 minutes a day on marketing and working on your business, I can almost guarantee that you will start seeing results in just a few months. The simplest marketing plan is one way to do this. It has helped me a lot for sure.
