There’s a lot of talk about a general downward trend in pricing in the translation industry, especially since the pandemic. But lowering our fees is not the solution. Instead, we should focus on the value we can provide to our clients and on value based pricing. Value-based pricing means that we set prices based on the buyer’s perceived value of our service. To use a value-based pricing strategy, we also need to understand and communicate our value to our customers. In this episode, I interviewed a fellow translator and speaker who teaches and presents financial success strategies for translators and value-based pricing.
