Alexander’s great tips on making tablets multilingual and future-proofing glossaries will be very useful to me personally. It has been wonderful to have a full-time interpreter on the podcast, and I would love to interview some more interpreters. If any listeners have anyone in particular they would like me to interview, please do let me know. Thank you for listening.
Alexander Drechsel is a professional conference interpreter, working for a large European institution. He regularly blogs about language, interpreting and technology, particularly tablets. You can find him on Twitter as @adrechsel (his personal account) and as @tabterp (where he shares all things related to using tablets for interpreting). Alexander’s latest project is the LangFM podcast, where he talks to fellow interpreters about their career in languages and their passions beyond the confines of the booth. It is available on iTunes and on the web at www.langfm.audio.

Hi Tess,
I just finished listening to your podcast while doing the dishes. I don’t remember if you mentionned the Swiftkey keyboard. This app for iOS and Android allows you to add several languages and type words as they come. I find that it’s very pratical to write in several languages at the same time.
Hi Thierry! No, we did not mention Swiftkey specifically, just that you can change keyboard language. Thank you for the tip!
