Marek BuchtelMarek Buchtel is a freelance translator (English/Czech) with almost 20 years of experience in the industry. His specialization includes business, marketing, legal and IT translations as well as website/software localization. He majored in information technology and philosophy at the University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic, and studied English/Czech translation and interpreting at the Institute of Translation Studies – Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Information and communication technologies are both his job and hobby, and as the key Czech language reviewer for one of the largest ITC companies in world and a regular translator for major software and hardware brands, Marek is always in touch with the latest development in the industry. In addition to translating, he occasionally holds sessions and trainings on topics related to increasing productivity of translators, and new technologies in the translation industry.
