It’s very rewarding to work with direct clients, but it takes more work to get them and educate them. I am interviewing a Russian translator and translator trainer – Simon Akhrameev, who has had great success getting clients online.

There are many ways to find direct clients, and you have to find a method that works best for you and your situation. However, using online marketing can be a first step, having an online “office” set up in the form of a website, and optimize it, plus using content marketing. This method is particularly valuable if you are unable to network much in person.
