Episode 265: From Stagnant to Vibrant – How I Rebuilt My Translation Business – Interview with Marguerite Delacroix-Storm

I have encountered many translators that feel stuck in their business, unable to grow. Many of you have also wanted me to provide episodes where I interview regular translators that talk about their business. And today you’re in luck. One of my alumni students from the Marketing Mastery for Experienced Translators recently gave a presentation at the American Translators Associations conference where she shared how she resurrected her freelance translation business after experiencing a serious downturn for almost a full year. She talks about the mistakes she made, the steps she took to correct them and what she learned.

Important things mentioned in this episode:

  • How she started her career in translation
  • Why she experienced a slump
  • How she got out of the slump and her investments in growth
  • How she markets her translation business
  • Tips for other translators that feel stuck or stagnant

Useful links mentioned in this episode:

Grite has a great story, sharing how she invested in her career, acted and found her own way of building her business, with inspiration from other translators and translator trainers. She truly made the marketing tips her own, and shared unique ways to market her translation business.

You will find a lot of valuable insights here, no matter where you are in your career. We would love to hear what you though, what action you will take based on this episode. Please share in the show-notes below or reach out to us by email.
