In this episode we are discussing money matters; what to spend money on when marketing our translation services. How do we spend our marketing budget wisely? I am interviewing Alison Hughes. She gave a presentation on this topic at the ITI Conference 2015 and it was so popular that people had to be turned away at the door. You will also learn how she learned Norwegian with the girl in AHA in the 80’s.

Alison Hughes

Alison Hughes spent three years with Mumm Champagne in Reims before moving to London, where she worked as an in-house translator for United Distillers (now Diageo). She moved to their Glasgow office in 1990 and embarked on a freelance career in 1997. She is a qualified member of ITI and coordinator of its Media, Arts & Tourism network.  Alison translates from French to English, mainly for the creative industries.
