melanie-di-costanzoMelanie was born and raised in the South of France. Her German grandma played a huge role in her upbringing, and so Melanie was raised bilingual. After two semesters studying in France (German literature with a major in translation), she took part in an Erasmus exchange. She went to Germany (Tübingen) for 2 semesters but stayed until the end of her studies 4 years later. After her studies, she lived and taught German as a foreign language at different universities in the Middle East.

She came back to France to be close to her family but decided to move back to Germany – this time to Berlin, the Mecca of all European start-ups – in 2014. Here she founded “Translation in Berlin” which specializes in website translation. Since then, Translation in Berlin has developed successful partnerships with established companies and start-ups spanning from e-commerce to e-learning platforms. It now possesses a team of SEO translators, copywriters and engineers. Melanie is also engaged in sharing her SEO knowledge through her videos on her blog and YouTube channel (Translators learn SEO).

A special thanks to Catherine Metcalfe for editing the show notes.
