Episode 180: Nine Ways to Stand Out in the Translation Industry – Interview with Madalena Zampaulo

In this episode we return to the topic of standing out, but also of how to get out of a rut and get inspired again. I interview Madalena Zampaulo, who dedicated a year to studying other industries and what they do differently. She quickly found some trends and items that she could implement in her own business that would raise her competitive advantage. In this episode she shares nine ways to stand out that she learned from other industries.

Important things mentioned in this episode:

  • What industries Madalena studied for inspiration
  • How we can make our job more attractive to clients
  • What we should stop doing and start doing
  • Why we should blog and what we can write about
  • How to be more strategic when interacting with clients

Useful links mentioned in this episode:

Madalena reminds us that we don’t have to do what everyone else is doing in our industry. We are all unique and bring our own value to the table. It’s time to embrace what can differentiate us, and use these factors to benefit our businesses. If there is something that you notice is not working, look elsewhere for inspiration.
