Episode 28: How to market your translation services locally – Interview with Judy Jenner

Learn how to market your translation services locally

I want to help my listeners and one request I have had is more information on how to market your translation services locally. In episode 11 we discussed Business to Business Marketing and leafleting with Sara Colombo. In this episode I have the pleasure of talking to Judy Jenner, who together with her Twin Sister have the company Twin Translations. They only have direct clients and most of them are local. They have also published the book “The Entrepreneurial Linguist” with business tips for translators. Here, Judy gives us tips on networking and marketing our services locally.

In this episode we discuss the following:

  • What an entrepreneurial linguist is
  • How Judy markets her translation services locally
  • The three most effective methods to marketing translation services locally
  • Mistakes when marketing translation services locally

  1. Thank you so much for this interesting interview. I really enjoyed getting some helpful information on how to market my translation services locally, especially as I have just moved from Germany to Spain where I want to reach out to new potential clients. Although I would not call myself a newby in the translation industry, I am a newby in the Spanish business area. So I am grateful for those inspiring marketing tipps that you talked about in this podcast episode.
