In this episode we are discussing a marketing strategy that was mentioned by Joanne Archambault as working very well for her in episode 17, How to market your translation services to clients you cannot meet. This strategy is called “Warm email prospecting program” and was developed by Ed Gandia, a very successful freelance coach, trainer, copywriter, author and entrepreneur. I am sure you will find his tips very useful.

[…] Warm email prospecting for translators – Interview with Ed Gandia […]
Corinne McKay just shared her success story with Ed Gandia’s warm email prospecting program in her latest blog post. You can read all about it here: http://thoughtsontranslation.com/2015/01/21/warm-e-mail-marketing-a-success-story/
Can this type of email marketing / prospecting be used within the EU or is it against laws regarding spam email?
Hi Louise,
Thank you for your comment. I think it could since it is not a spam message, but a targeted email to one person, where you mention how you know of the person and how you can help.
Great tips! Thank you Tess for this interview. Mr Gandia opened up a totally new perspective.
Thanks Daniela! I am so glad you found it useful, and thanks for the email.
Dear Tess and Ed,
VERY interesting podcast and very concrete and to-the-point tips to improve our marketing. One of those posts for which you need pen and paper to take notes and which leave you “homework” to do. I think that’s the way to go: fewer target prospective clients but more effectiveness. Thanks a lot! I really enjoyed listening to it.
Thanks Laura! I know, Ed is full of wisdom and I know a few translators who bought his warm email prospecting course after this. If you want to “give back”, please don’t forget to leave a short review on iTunes or Stitcher. Thanks!
Beautifully done, Tess & Ed! I loved the concrete examples and to the point information. It was very informative!
Hi Tess,
Learned new things again from this podcast (have to act on them as well). Your website is quickly moving up to the top of my list! I listen to Ed Gandia’s B2Blauncher podcasts too, and he’s doing an amazing job there. Thanks for doing this interview!
