Episode 196: Creating Your Roadmap to Success in 2019 – Interview with Martina Eco

If you feel a bit lost when it comes to growing your business this year, or want to create a solid plan, this episode is for you. We’re talking about how to create a roadmap to success, or a marketing strategy for 2019 together with Martina Eco, a freelance translator and marketing consultant. If you create one now, you will have a plan for the rest of the year and not get lost in everyday minutiae.

Important things mentioned in this episode:

  • Why we need a marketing strategy
  • What components that should be included in our strategy
  • How to do a SWOT analysis on ourselves and our situation (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
  • The marketing mix for freelance translation services

An effective Marketing strategy is realistic, easy to understand and practical to implement. Just for clarity, the difference between a marketing strategy and a marketing plan is that the strategy will not change yearly, but only when a major change occurs that affects the business as a whole, whereas a marketing plan changes yearly based on competitive actions and short term opportunities and threats.

Martina can help you with the strategy, and I can help you with the plan. Feel free to reach out to us by email or in the comments below.
